On the 5th we had the anual "Honeywell Eliminator" at Norwalk raceway park. I had planned on raceing my 74 Chevelle that has been stored in the garage for the last year, but while preping it to race I realized the tranny wasnt holding tight in 2nd gear
So I figure lets race the truck!
I made 3 passes:
1st-18.2ET @ 71mph
2nd- 19.4ET @ 71mph- Lost traction off the line.
3rd- 17.9ET @ 72mph- 1st round elimination (broke out of my 18.0 dial  )

All these runs were made with the 5ver hitch, coolers of "pop", spare tire, and of course a tool box full to the top in the bed. I'm guessin about 7800lbs, but I havent weighed the truck yet.

I was givin a co-workers son a hard time cause his ranger was runnin the same times as my crew cab dually!

Numbers sound right in line where mine was running. They're not real fast, but for 7,000 lbs it ain't too shabby

I was the only big truck there that night but I have seen some newer PSD's, and duramaxes runing before. I think last year a 3/4 ton Duramax was runnin mid 16's. I dont know if it had any mods or not.
I havent been able to spend as much time at the track since my switch to night shift.
