Whenever I got my 6.9 the previous owner gave me many spare parts.. many of which not pictured here. One of which is this radiator they got at a junkyard as a spare of unknown condition.

What's a good way if any of testing it to see if it leaks short of installing it which I definitely don't want to do since both of mine are good. I thought about selling it if it's good but those green streaks make me think it isn't. Outside of those streaks though it's pretty clean and rust free and looks clean inside too. Just fill it with water and try to block the bottom off and see if it leaks?

Mine had those green streaks and corrosion and it went out had a hole in it were that corrosion is on yours, if it's not leaking now it would likely be soon

Yeah i kinda figured I was just hauling junk for them there but the super duty exhaust I'm gonna use somehow and I really needed that fan shroud cause when my water pump died on my other idi I got annoyed and cut mine in half.

I would keep it and get it re-cored when funds permit. Aluminum rads seem to be hit & miss so having a copper spare can be handy.

Replace the muffler on it with a straight through of your choice or some pipe and it should've a easy instal some of the hangers may even line up

The muffler that's on it is likely gonna be too restrictive right? I figured there's some sort of useless garbage the idi won't enjoy hiding in there.

It's negotiable on how restrictive it is, I don't know what's inside of it. Old ones tend to be filled with soot but it doesn't look that bad. I'm just saying because if already installing exhaust, might as well upgrade while in there kinda thing. But as long as it was from a diesel it "should" work fine. I was stating straight through would be an upgrade and you would have already been doing some fab work and it's not under a truck so it would be easy while it's out
