how many ohms for the sending unit?

hello,
i bought an aluminum in-bed fuel tank today from someone who pulled it out of a 24 valve cummins (i think 1998) and it has a sending unit in it, but i of course do not have the gauge. I could buy an aftermarket gauge but i would need to know the ohm range to get the right one. does anyone have this info, or know of a place i can find the right gauge (other than a junk yard)?

I pulled my sending unit out in the fall of 98 but never did measure it. MY only suggestion is to measure one or a few and see that they scale properly?From the scrap yards.
