You can bend a rod if you try to start it thinking " Starter worked fine before that shower & now won't turn over" .

Been there/done that. Starter is unbelievably stout!!

The starters are a bit amazing. I had one get stuck while trying to start in winter with bad glow plugs and just a lot of stuff that needed worked on. I couldn't get the battery cables off to get it to quit turning over and it was stuck at the starter so in a mild panic not wanting to burn the rest of the truck up I let the clutch out slowly in first, truck started climbing the driveway. To my amazement it did in second and even third! I finally let it out slow in overdrive and it couldn't do it clutch wouldn't slip either so it overheated the starter and made a little pop and I will never do that again, but was actually kinda cool to see it would do all that.

My clutch slave cylinder committed suicide while I was towing an 8,000lb trailer and coming up to a toll booth  after paying the toll, I shut the engine down, put it in gear, and cranked the starter...even with the trailer strapped to my truck, the starter had enough power to move the entire rig AND start the engine  with floating gears, I was able to get to the destination...it really is amazing what these starters are capable of!

I like the garage door seal. I bought a new seal from LMC and was dismayed to find that none of the screw holes matched the truck locations. It would have been better if there were no holes punched from the get go.
