If I've got the correct wire, it goes to the sensor on the drier.

Ok, I took another look at it a bit ago. On my harness, it come out of the smaller harness laying on the wheel inner wheel well going to the front under the starter relay. Kizer is right, on mine, it leaves that smaller harness, goes to the male connector, leaves from the female connector and to the pressure switch on the drier. So maybe the wire you show in your initial picture #4631 that's under the hose should connect directly to the drier pressure switch? Unlike I thought yesterday, mine goes to the switch not up into the harness going up over the blower housing.
Take a look at the pictures. If you got any questions that I might be still able to help with let me know. Otherwise I've offered all I know at this time.

Ok, these last 2 pics you posted were instrumental in solving this problem. Thank you!! Based on them, I was able to determine which wire loom to open up, and the other end of the black/yellow tracer wire was then located. What a relief! This was then repaired which restored function to the AC clutch. Loss of power to the AC clutch was another issue I was trying to solve as well. Turns out that black/yellow wire supplies power to the AC clutch, which now engages when the rotary switch on the dash is turned to Normal AC or to Max AC. So now I can work on locating any AC refrigerant leaks and charge the AC system, with hot summer months right around the corner. I want to thank you again for taking all that time to help resolve this, as well as everyone else in this thread that came to my assistance with pictures and descriptions.

Your welcome. I'm glad I could pay it back and help someone out. This forum has been my go to for learning more about these trucks/engines as I have only become a "diesel head" 3-4 years ago. I love the fact that these trucks really are pretty dirt simple. Once you learn the basics on how they tick and what it takes to keep them going, they're easy to deal with. The weird problems you encounter with them, then this forum is the place to go to seek answers and I have always gotten a clue as to what and where to go to make a repair. And to me, the biggest thing is the fact that there is no computer involved.
