My shop manuals don't provide any info on the Eaton vacuum warning switch in the engine compartment right side. It has a 3 terminal electrical connector.

Does anyone have a test procedure for the switch itself and/or the attached wiring (for the instrument panel idiot light(s))?

Thanks and Merry Christmas to all.

Regards,

87Crew:

Thx. I was able to check and fix my low vacuum warning switch with your above diagram.

What is the source document for that diagram? And what is c-26?

C-26 is the coordinates of the switch on the diagram - row "C", column 26. So looking at its schematics it turns out the switch is nothing more than a vacuum-triggered relay, interesting concept....

After looking at that schematic, boy am I glad I don't have a 5.0 gasser, I would hate to have trouble with that "Inferred Mileage and Extended Useful Life Sensor Module"

Diagram from which shop manual?

C-26 is the coordinates of the switch on the diagram - row "C", column 26.

Doh. Coordinates - Got it now.

I never did get an answer about the manual that was the source for the diagram. I have shop manuals Vol A & B and that diagram doesn't exist in those. Where did it come from?

Thanks,
