just ordered the free sample kit from blackstone. for $25 i think it would be a good investment to see what kind of shape my engine is in. seems fine to me and has no blow by but we will see! hopefully the kit will be here pretty soon i plan on changing my oil within the next few days. im gonna go buy a new drain pan to make sure that no other crap gets mixed in with it before i have a change to send it back.

Can't say Ive had any experience with Polaris but from what Ive heard they are better.

Blackstone is easy though for someone just getting started. They send the sample kit for free.

Id wait till you get the sample kit to change the oil. Either that or find a small clean container to put some in.

They say: "If you're taking your sample while changing the oil, let some oil drain before you fill up the bottle. Try not to get either the first or the last oil out of the pan."
