Don't throw the old FSV away! While it may very well be *****, I would suggest cleaning it up and taking a close look at it. Somewhere there is a thread from OLDBULL8 about taking the fsv apart and cleaning and making sure it works properly. I will see if I can find it. The fsv can get little bits of disintegrated plastic showerhead in them and get stuck. You need to drill out a few rivets to get it apart and clean it, but it can then be resealed and bolted back together with small screws. At the cost involved, it may be worth messing around a little with, even if you just keep it for a spare. Wish I had kept my old one I threw away years ago.

EDIT: This is the thread I was thinking of: http://www.oilburners.net/forums/showthread.php?57747-1-4-tank-problem-another-solution-write-ups

Got it fixed. I only sucked fuel up one of the fuel lines. Not both. So when my dad switched tanks he pumped a ton of air into the steel lines and stalled out the engine.
