For those with body lifts

I just got my 3 inch body lift in and i was looking at the stock rubber cab mounts Do i need to cut these out? or piggyback the 3 inch pucks on the stock mounts?

This is the truck you are putting the diesel in? If so a 3" body lift is going to cause clearance issues

Exactly what Diesel_Brad said. My buddy's 1990 F350 with an IDI had a 3 inch BL on it when he got it and the head smacks the firewall every time he shifts. Gotta massage the firewall a bit. Of course, he also shimmed his tranny up with a few washers and that helps out ALOT.

3 inch lift on mine, 15 minutes with a crowbar and my firewall was back off the drivers side head. Never makes contact ever. Your results may vary.

And yes, the stock mounts stay, though it may be a good time to replace them if you have the cash. Mine are sagging and I would have loved to replace them, just couldn't afford it at the time. Start hitting the bolts with PB Blaster or Aero Kroil now, and it will make your life easier. I did it without an impact but it would have been really nice to have one, especially for the bed bolts. I ended up grinding a few of my bed bolt heads off from the top side cause I couldn't get them off.

i find it very helpful to weld the bed bolts to the bed. that way they cant spin.

Well since I have just the cab on the frame ATM I will be able to adjust the firewall with a 10 pounder when it comes time to test fit the 69
