1990 F250 4x4 7.3 idi, single cab, long bed, 40,000 original miles.

Had to drive over 5 hours to get this, but it was a one owner farm truck and has been garaged every night for the last 22 years. The outside has a few scratches and small dents like you'd expect but the interior is mint condition. It's like it was just stuck in a time capsule as well as having original floor mats still in mint condition, and original owners manual and booklets still in the plastic.

Needs a little tlc like you'd expect for a 22 year old truck but overall im happy with the purchase, and it's pretty need that it's the same year I was born.

These are just the pictures when I got it home, but ive already took the horrid full length side steps off, original brake controller, etc. Kept them acourse in case anyone would be interested for whatever reason.

Might do a 92-96 front end, cruise control, and newer dash in the future but well see. Kind of don't want to change alot beens everything is factory original.

First Welcome to Oil Burners and congratulations on your truck purchase.

That is one fine looking rig there.

Don't know what you know so take a minute and look around the FAQ's and Tech section...especially the tech cause from what I understand lots of images will be lost soon! People whom post their pics on webshots will be loosing them :(

Also take a minute to add in your truck info into your signature please.

Dash change would be quite difficult, cruise and clip change are doable...clip especially easy...IMHO...

Again Welcome to OB

Welcome to the best forum about these trucks and engines. Thats a sweet looking truck. I see it has the original return line caps on the injecters but the hoses have been replaced. Thats usually not done here because the caps wear out too so we repalce them all as a kit. Be careful if you decided to buy a kit... the ebay kits are low quality but some members here sell them which are a very high quality. Enjoy the time spent here. We can answer any questions for free. The dealer will charge you for questions.

Nice truck!

Looks like you might live where there are some gravel roads. Those "horrid" running boards are probably the best rock guards invented.

Now that is one RED truck.

If you want to do anything, start with the cruise control, it will be easy to add into the system. Doesn't seem right to change sheet metal of such a beautiful truck.

Beauty! First thing I'd do, though, is get new rubber on it. With that kind of mileage, I wouldn't be surprised if they're original. That may fly for the low speeds around the farm, but shouldn't be trusted for city or freeway speeds. My $.02, anyway.

Welcome to OB, and Congrats on the Truck, What a great find!

I have to agree with Knuckledrager on changing the front end,..I wold not change a thing on the body. Where would you find a newer front clip that is in as good or better shape than what you will be taking off? Plus having an all original truck, with matching original paint, Is the way to keep it! To change it, would just not be right!

Put a nice set of Factory Alcoas, and some 285, All Terrains, and Enjoy it!

Again, Congrats! ;Sweet

A few words come to mind on that one...

Cherry

Mint

Damn Nice Truck... ;Sweet

Thanks, I def dont think I will ever be able to find another like it or replace it, which is why I worked all night thanksgiving night, then when I got off at 6am, I headed straight out without sleep and spent over 12 hours driving there and back to get it.

Cherry was the first word I though of. Nice truck for sure. With a 5 speed to boot.

Thanks, def glad it has the 5 speed; just the way these old trucks should be.

Really nice truck, it looks like it has only 40,000 (or less)

Welcome to OBN

Thanks, and yes it def was well taken care of by the original owner.

You just talking about the rubber lines with circle clamps on them? I assume it was just done from dry rotting. Just about all the rubber on the truck has started to go just from so many years and being garaged.

Lol im out in the country in KY but not to bad. All the roads are paved lol, I just happen to live on a 100 acre farm which is the main reason it looks like that. But im only about 5 minutes from the interstate, you'd just never know it because there is a big forest before the farms.

The running boards might be good on protecting the paint but they are not good looking lol. I don't mind side steps, but I do mind those. If anyone wants them, they can buy them ;).

Nice truck! I'm jealous!

Thanks, I hope its going to be a good one.

Lol no not really, just to move tractor and farm equipment around and driving around on the farm.

Yes its def red but for what I was getting I couldn't be picky. I def want to add cruise to it for highway driving and I use cruise ALOT, especially with this older truck and heavy cable driven gas pedal. But I agree, I keep going back and forth on the idea; the 92-96 looks so much better up front IMO, but its almost a sin to change the truck up beens everything is factory original. Well see!

Mike

I don't think they are original, they look in good shape and have 0 dry rot like all the rubber lines on the truck have so im assuming they aren't bad. They def aren't new but so far look fine and I actually drove in the rain for the first time with it tonight and it did surprisingly well.

But I do plan on changing out the tires, just trying to decide what im going to do about wheels and what I might do as far as a little bit of lift, or level the front and add 1 inch in the back or something. So still waiting to decide what route im going to go, and figure out something so the ugly hubs don't stick out so far, especially in the back; maybe a wider aftermarket set of wheels will help hide it.

Thanks. Like I said, still deciding what im going to do about the front end; right now its on the bottom of the list thats for sure.

Trying to decide on what to do about wheels and so the hubs don't stick out so far especially in the back. How wide are the stock alcoas?

Like mentioned, just trying to decide what im going to do about suspension; if im going to go solid axle up front or throw money at the ttb 50, what height, what wheels, etc etc.

Any help will be appreciated. Ive had alot of vehicles, but still new to some of the parts on this particular diesel.

Very nice rig congrats! If I were you, I would keep it as stock as possible. It looks like it has been taken care of if everything remains original. I also like that 5 speed and sure wish I had that in my truck lol.
I would check out that injection pump. The pic reveals quite a bit of dirt covering it, which may mean the IP is leaking fuel somewhere. The pumps are good for 100k miles before needing to be changed, however, 25 years is rougher on seals than 40k miles. Good luck and enjoy truck
