Yup them old 1.6l mills were darn tough. Great injection pumps on them, tolerant of todays poor fuel. The fuel mileage was awsome!!

Had a high mileage 84 jetta run away on me once... put a couple bottles of Rislone Ring Seal in the oil, and a few oil changes after that and ran that thing for another 2 years before she packed it in!!! Still got great mileage!
