I lurk a lot here, learning as I go. I live in an emission controlled part of Colorado. Considering I need to pull my engine to fix a badly leaking oil pan seal and probably rear main, I'm considering a few mods while I'm at it. Is there an ability to go to a Moose Junior pump and upgraded injectors but still meet 35% opacity maximum for emissions? Would a smoke puff limiter be needed and beneficial? If I went to head studs, can I increase the boost and still meet emission requirements? Will this significantly help my power output but maintain clean exhaust without upgrading the injection pump? What other maintenance/mods should I perform (besides a new clutch and gaskets) while the engine is out? Thanks for the input!!
