Emergency Brake Cables

I'm looking for a new parking break cable and for the 87 there are 2 options for the left cable for trucks made before/after 2/87. Is there a way to identify which cable I need by looking at the cable? The body with the door sticker is long gone.

Your gonna have to remove the cable and take it to a parts store and compare it.

Is it the axle end that is different?
