EGT gauge or sending unit?

EGT gauge has started intermittently failing to work. It will be fine, then it'll stop working and go to 0, then start working again in a matter of seconds. Is this more than likely from a failure of the sending unit or the gauge itself?

Clean all the connections.My pyro has screws with nuts for connectors. Got tired of having to clean the connections at the thermocouple and spliced a connector from a O2 sensor in. Problem solved. Steve
