egr delete??

Anyone tell me whats up with the EGR delete? what are the pro's and con's?
and where can it be done? im trying to understand it

There are several ways to make the EGR inoperable. Get a SCT Xcal2, or 3, and have the EGR turned off in the PCM is probalby the easiest. Pros no exhaust garbare going back into the intake. Lower EGTs. Cons none that I can think of. Keith

to keep the exhaust from flowing back thru the EGR cooler (which is completely diff. from the EGR valve) you would need to put in a block off plate.
