will an idi fit right into a 99 f350?
does any one know if the 7.3 idi and the 7.3 powerstroke have the same block

dfferent block, but motor mouts are the same. and trans bolt pattern is the same

not sure about a 99 different body style than mine, but i have a 97 350 with an idi

It does fit, and it will work.
Buddy and I did a 2000 PSD 4x4 5spd. from what I remember tach didn't work, OPS had to be swapped, and I think coolant didn't work. Reused PSD alternator.
Later buddy sold it and explained to the kid that bought it that it was in IDI, not a powerstroke, but the slackjawed kid apparently didn't understand, or was too excited and bought it. Buddy got a call 6 months later getting cursed out and threatened to sue cause kid bought a chip that didnt do jack ****.
