Hello, I just joined the forum hopeing to find some info on a swap I want to do. I have a GMC Motorhome with a Olds 455 engine. It is front wheel drive so changing out the trans till require some heavy surgery. I have heard that some of the Cummins engines will bolt up to some GM transmissions. Does anyone know how I can make this work? Would A BOP bellhousing let me put a 6.5 GM or Cummins engine in? I would love a duramax but I am sure that will cost a bunch. Any Ideas? Thanks

Jerry

welcome to the site.
there's a chevy pattern adapter that's commonly found behing 4cyl cummins delivery trucks. there's also commercially available adapters that will allow you to go from chevy to BOP pattern. they aren't as pricey compared to a specifically machined adapter that will directly bolt onto the cummins block for the BOP trans. I can post the website later on today. bottom line is that it can be done, all hinges on how ugly can you live with.....
