imho none of the mags are worth subscribing to. unless you like looking at trucks built on daddy's credit card that have no real purpose other than to be a pavement princess. Our trucks get lip service at best, only Diesel Power actually did a few articles on our IDI's but I fear they have went by the wayside in this economy. I haven't seem their rag on most newstands since March of this year.

Diesel Power Magazine recently moved the business office to a newer and better location.I think the new location has a working shop... I know not why they aren't showing up on your stands Calvin. Maybe its something going on with the mag buyers at those stores. Mine comes in the mail every month.. My daughter got the subscription for me...;Sweet They do continue to upgrade the Project 300 truck that Jason is building...

I always read Diesel Power, but I bought the last issue of Diesel World and was impressed with their coverage of turbo's and IDI's.

i like and subscribe to both diesel power and diesel world. i do agree though, not much info for our trucks and im super mega tired of reading about worthless dragstrip trucks! but theyre everywhere. 8-lug is the really worthless magazine. it really is just a show truck magazine. but ya if youre hoping to find something you can use on your truck, you wont find it.

That made me laugh, and remember my previous truck, back when I lived in SoCal. It was ugly, but extremely off-road reliable. It really didn't fit in, so I added some lettering on the rear bumper -- "If it don't run, chrome it."

X3

There are not enough articles on older diesels in magazines anyway, this site is a better resource then any mag ever could be. Save your money is my vote, unless you just like looking at new over priced iron.

I get Sports Illustrated, and look on Oilburners.net for any info/ideas for my truck. The only reason I would subscribe is if Diesel Power ever did a swimsuit issue. Diesels, Women and Bikinis are my 3 favorite things.

I think Diesel Power caters to a wide range of diesel enthusiasts. It is probably the best magazine i've subscribed to that deals with engines and motorsports.

Their project rust bucket (first gen Cummins) and project 300 (Ford IDI) are pretty cool--to me anyway. Both projects start out on a budget and then go from there. Sure they end up costing more than any of us want to spend, but that's what sparks the readers interest imo. They have also had many articles on sled pulls and engine swaps along with their own competitions. I thought it was cool to see so many 6.4's in their last challenge up against the Cummins and D-max's.

Another thing I like about DP is they don't show as many mall crawlers and pavement pounders as some of the other mags. I really HATE bling and 20's :puke:

x2. I'll hold out for the swimsuit issue. Until then, I just stick with Oilburners.
