I am looking for information relating to the best fuel economy I can get in a 1966 F100 with a diesel engine. So far from talking to local diesel nuts, Tucson, it seems the Cummins 6.9 with a rotary pump will provide the best MPG. However, I have recently had discussion about a 24 valve cummins with a rotary pump being the best. I would appreciate any thoughts, opinions, and/or facts concerning this endeavor.
