D60 Install

So today i picked up a freshly rebuilt D60 from a 1994 F350 it came with all the tie rod and drag link ends and the drive shaft, and also the Pan hard bar? i think its called, anyways my truck has stock suspension other then the 3 leafs it has in the front and a 2" lift block in the rear ontop of the stock one, so what im wondering is how much lift am i going to gain putting in the D60? id like to order new blocks need be for the rear so when i go ahead and install this diff this weekend i have everything to get it all done. and i also have a set of 315's sitting here to toss under her, any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Easy swap. Takes me couple hours. Pretty straight forwards. Id soak bolts in wd40 now so its a bit easier for ya

every 60 swap i have done gains me 2 - 3" about every time!

you are replacing the frt springs? well thats not really a question, but that is something you need to do.

reverse arch springs don't do well at all on solid front axles.
also, the OP mentioned panhard rod......did you get the frame mounting bracket too?

yes sir i got everythingi could possibly needed to instal down to the the brackets and bolts. the leaf packs i have in the front are straight, and not reverse arched they are a 3 leaf pack. so i believe im good there.

are you reusing the springs on the front of your truck or are these new/used replacements?

New replacements i put in last summer the brough my truck up about 3" from where it usually sat

If you got all the parts...its a day of work and you are done. also you do not need to change the driveshaft unless you are lifting it.

What year truck do you have? Drivetrain? Gears? 315's are a little large I'd think for no lift. Im doing the same swap now and am thinking 285 or 305 would be better suited to better split in town and hwy fuel economy. I had 315's on my last 4wd w/ 4:10 and their was a noticable decrease in fuel economy. I know its not what looks best, but what squeezes every ounce of fuel economy out of this thing for me is always the way to go. My truck passed the point of looking good years ago, its a seasoned worker now.....

In order to run the F350 drive shaft, you will need to front yolk from a F350 that has the same t-case as your F250(BW1356)

As for the front springs, it is hard to say if they will work or not. If they are F250 springs, it will ride like you have a solid suspension, if they are F350 springs, they you will be fine
