I am familiar with what it takes to swap a D50 for the D60, but I have to ask anyway. With a D70U rear and D50 TTB front would I be able to swap In the front after confirming gear ratios? I understand worn parts need to be replaced. Sorry if this is a rookie question. Ive been away from my truck for way too long.

you can run up to a 10% difference between the two axles. in reality, the 10.25 3.55 is a close match to the D50/D60 3.54 axles. your D70 would be a 3.54, essentially it would be a better match. also, another item most people don't take into account is tire sizing. different makes have slightly different size profiles. ideally, you need to run one make on all four corners. hope this helps.

nope. this is a 4.10 axle. I was just using the 3.54 as an example since 4.10 is dead nuts across the board.
sounds like you're gettin' ready for a big build.;Sweet

Well that thought was short lived. My wife put in her 2 weeks today. I expect things to be tight for a little while so I guess you can count me out.

even 4.10s aren't the same........................dana 60 reverse cut gears are usually 4.09 ratio when you break it right down. 4.09/4.10 .......3.54/3.55 they come that way OEM anyhow .

those dually hubs are getting hard to find around here.
