I can't believe it! I was in S.F. yesterday driving my mom around on errands.
I pulled up to a stop sign at a 4-way stop intersection. As I'm sitting there,
a lady(?) pulls out across the intersection, appearing to start a left turn in front of me. But she doesn't turn....she coasts across the middle of the road and hits my stopped 300D in the bumper, passenger side with the passenger front corner of her Toyota Avalon. Mercedes bumper is toast. The radiator dumped its contents all over the road. The Avalon was barely scratched.
I got out of the car, walked over to her window and knocked on it. She rolled it down and asked "Is there something wrong"? I must be living in the Twilight Zone. The radiator doesn't seem dented. Don't know what happened to it, but maybe it cracked due to the shock. The car was towed to a body shop in the city.

Don't you just love S.F. drivers sometimes?

Sorry to hear about the damage...did you get the engine shut down in time to not overheat it?

Good to hear that no one was hurt

Hello Warden,

Yes, the engine seems OK. I actually don't see any dents in the radiator.
I hope I don't get the big green ****** from the body shop. :backoff

Were Cheech and Chong sitting in the back seat? :rotflmao

Glad it wasn't a serious crash.

I didn't check the back seat, but maybe they were passengers. I also asked a couple of hispanic types to be witnesses. They took off lickety split, like the Border Patrol was after them. So much for witnesses.
