Hey,

I am new here and could use some experienced opinions. I found a 2000 7.3 diesel excursion for sale near me for $14k with 296k miles on it. I have not seen the truck in person yet. I did look at the car fax history and saw that the truck has been used for corporate purposes since its inception. My question is does the mileage and price justify the truck if the maintenance history is found to be good?

Excursions really hold value. I’ve got a 2004 124,000mile truck 2wd drive in near perfect condition down the street fully loaded leather ect they are asking $9k

Another one local is also 2004 with 207,000miles, 4wd also near perfect condition with leather they want $13.5.

Just gotta take a look around, drive them, look them over and see what you’re getting into. The 7.3ps is waaay more desirable then a 6.0ps. However I have a buddy that purchased a 6.0 superduty brand new and tows with it nearly every day and it’s got 520k on it and it’s totally stock with very little work done to it.

The Excursions do hold their values. If it is near perfect shape with documented history, it may not be out of line.

I have an 03 Excursion Eddie Bauer 4x4 6.0 that I’ve owned for 18 years, so I know most of it’s history. I was playing around the other day on the value sites (KBB, NADA, etc) and they are saying mine is worth about $12,000.

The Excursion was only made from 2000 - 2005, and is less common out there than a SuperDuty of the same year.
