1. best way to 'burp' the air out of a cooling system?
I recall someone mentioning a bleed valve of sorts.


2. I noticed DAS in canada uses 'gapless rings' on thier engines. I might be rebuilding a 7.3 in the near future.... where do you get gapless rings? and can you install them with a regular ring expander?

no, no ring expander is used. you have to do it the hard way.
the machine shop putting them in better be extremely good on tolerances or they will expand and bind up.
yes, blowby is signifigantly reduced.
I have one 6.9 in service with this ring setup. jury is still out on whether or not it is a good idea. mainly the amount of time needed to setup the endgaps
lastly...price? bend over and grab your **********.

hmmm, not enough of a difference to make you scream and shout eh?

might just look around for some more conventional (and reasonably priced) rings than.
