..that doesn't seem to be clutch related?

Short version,
loaned my truck out and when I hopped in it to go to work two days later I hear a metallic rattle from underneath the floorboard. Nothing that sounds catastrophic or anything, but extremely annoying. Got to work and crawled underneath and I swear its coming from the clutch, but its too constant, pedal-in, pedal-out, load, no-load, its still there. Almost sounds like a heat-shield but Ive pried against everything I can think of and its still there and still sounding like its coming from the bellhousing.

Truck still runs and drives great, goes through the gears fine, has good power etc, but I'm going crazy!!

Help!

Throw out bearing?

That was my first thought, but usually throw out bearing noises change when pressure is applied or taken off, this is more consistent. It's also a pronounced rattle, not your typical bearing noise. I'm at a loss here.
