Truck is still shifting hard into gears at times. Have not had alot of time to really get into it due to work and this is my 2ndary truck/toy. I did notice when I was underneath it appears that a thick piece of ziptie has been wedged between the ball end and clutch arm. Think just replacing that bushing could be the problem?

That's not a zip tie! That is the highly coveted slave cylinder retaining strap. Assuming it is still good, it will have a T at each end that fits into a slot on the slave when the piston is fully compressed.

No, there is no adjustment. The problems to look for are:

Air in the lines.
Cracked Dash where the master cylinder mounts
Worn pin/eye junction on the master push rod
Worn clutch fork
bad throw out bearing
Galled/dry transmission input shaft sleeve.

Any of these, or a combination there of will take travel out of the clutch motion and result in hard engagements.
