So, I was just looking at these motors on Ebay and noticied the fan clutch extension piece and how far the fan was mounted of the other motor. Do you guys think that just maybe the bus and big truck fans have more pitch in the fans than we have in our 250 and 350 trucks. Take a look at what I'm seeing at item 230154217810 & 250147716415. Maybe we have stumbled on to a better fan and fan clutch to cool our motors......:D

Hmm, I'm too lazy to look that up...don't think you could link it could you? Midnight Rider was saying something similar about the IHC fan clutches being better at cooling, but I think he said they're on all the time. I had a followup post which he never responded too. I wonder if it would be hard to make it work on a Ford app.?

JD... I don't know how to make a hyperlink or whatever its called when you make what you want members to see that printed in blue ink. But gees... Just ask me something about our motors and I probably know it or could direct you to someones that knows. This computer stuff is not my thing. I only use the letters in front of me. I have no idea what anything like "F" numbers are or the drop down tool bars. I really should learn it but just haven't.....

Sorry man, not sure I'd know how to do it either....don't take offense. I would like to know if the direct drive fan clutch from IHC would work though.... Not really sure I want to "pin" a clutch or something like that.

gary-
The motor had to have come out of a truck requiring the use of a belt driven hydraulic pump. I have quite a few of these adapters and use them to move the fan foward in order to clear the PTO belts.
