Not sure if this is the right section to post this question or not but I have a small GM diesel (6-71N Detroit) I have switched to N55s and it’s in a small boat. When this boat was fishing offshore it had n70s and was run hard with no issues. Now it spends almost all its time running around at 600-700 Rpm and has a wet stacking issue after running for a few days. Due to the current situation and the fact it takes several hours of steaming flat out to clean it out it’s not possible to blow it out but once or twice a week. Does anyone have any ideas how to reduce the wet stacking issue? The engine is over due for cylinder kits but the owner is not going to pay to replace them yet and the blower seals are not leaking. Oil consumption is very low about 1 gallon per 24 hours but a fine mist of oil droplets cover the deck and gunnels after a day of slow steaming.
