Sounds like a good idea just for the knowing what you have. It can be used as a baseline for later tests too. Are you taking this rig on vacation or another rig.
No Gary, we took the Amtrak up the coast from LA to Seattle and back, nice trip but long. Ever tried to sleep on a moving train? Aside of the bumpy ride, I was about ready to tell the engineer where he could shove his airhorn!
I guess it can get really boreing driving a train when theres nothing to do like keep a car or truck on the road. Flying a plane is differant. You have auto pilot but when you up there hands on you have a stick so your steering it plus you need to maintain altitude too. Not much to do driving a train compared to other types of driving things. Glad you got the oil leak fixed too. I keep a spare holley red behind my rear seat but with the carrier pump I'm thinking I will never need it.
