Automatic Climate Control

My Excursion has he automatic climate control. Tonight we were out and about, and the climate control was working fine. Stopped at a store, shut the truck off, and when we came back out and started the truck, the climate control would not come on. Blank screen, and the buttons do nothing, and the fan is not running.

I looked at the fuses and see none blown, not sure where to go from here. I hope it is something simple.......

Have ya checked the relay yet?
Cycle the headlight switch on and off several times and see what that does. Don't laugh.

The light switch trick worked. Simple and free......

Same thing happened to the Ex, same fix. Toggle the headlights on and off. I have read others have had to do the same so I think its a common thing.

Except ours happened in Houston in June, ugh. Thank goodness I had a smart phone on me so I could google it.
