Is it common to have issues with the auto hubs on these trucks? Mine are stuck in the locked position and I can't figure out how to un-stick them. I can't afford to go to the manual hubs right now. Is there a quick solution to this? Can I lube them up to keep this from happening again?

Yes.

The hubs lock when the axle shaft turns and the wheel does not. They are supposed to lock in forward or reverse. To unlock them, you disengage 4wd and travel a few feet in the opposite direction you were travelling when you locked them.

The grease dries out over time and some recommend using auto transmission fluid to loosen things up and get a sticky hub working again. I just did this to mine and all seems good now.

The auto hubs are a weak point when offroading. I think the issue is people getting to aggressive before the hubs lock in.
