ATF in a PSD

Can I fill my fuel filter housing with ATF and run/soak to clean the injectors/pump on a '97 PSD? This process worked in my 6.9, but not sure about PSD.

PSD/T444E doesn't have an injection pump. Just use some diesel fuel, Power Service or any additive in the housing.

I did it before I read about people saying not to.
But it seemed to have made a difference.

You'll be good to go with clean ATF, I've run 25K miles on an ATF/waste motor oil mix with no ill effects. Since I've run over 1k gallons, I can't see a few ounces causing harm.

I haven't used ATF in a PSD (many times in an IDI though). Most use diesel klean. I used DK when I owned my PSD with good results.

I've run WMO, ATF, Hydraulic oil, gear oil, all at mixtures from 10-20% with no ill effects (other than BAD stink from the gear oil) for over 5 years.
