Anyone wanna trade rear bumpers?

The PO (or the PO-PO) just ran 4 bolts through the frame from the side (2 on either side), if that makes sense. So any weight on the bumper is only supported by the shear strength of 4 bolts and only on the last 6-7 inches of the frame. To top it off the holes in the truck frame are larger than the holes on the bumper frame so the bumper moves around a little. Not ideal.

Yup, I agree, that's a bit sketchy there, my hitch bumper is attached to the frame with three 3/4" bolts per side. Also sound like you're concerned about how the draw bar receiver is welded to the bottom lip of the bumper only without any further bracing, which I'd say is a very valid concern - my beast actually has its own crossmember that runs between its side plates, and that draw bar receiver tube is like a foot long so in its aft end it's welded to the bumper's bottom lip and in the front it's welded to that crossmember - thing was made like that, stupid-heavy-duty, the frame would fold before the hitch gets damaged... Sounds like a similar construction would be ideal for you too, it's just too bad that nice chrome bumper is not done like that, cause it looks pretty darn good on your dually.

I just wanna trade for a regular bumper and frame hitch ( class IV).

This one doesn't have the proper mounting hardware to meet it's 1000/10000 towing capacity (according to the sticker) and I would rather swap than have to fab something up. Well, that and we are looking for a pull-behind travel trailer and the 2" receiver on a 2wd is to low to the ground for my equalizer hitch to work properly.

Email is right.....just a domain I've owned for a long time. I registered in Canada, hence the .ca rather than .com.

The Class should be on a sticker somewhere. If not, does it have a brand and model number, could figure it out with that. If neither of those, what was it from F150, F250, F350?

Just send me a picture or three of the bumper, something that shows the shape it in. Not to concerned with the paint quality, just any bends, bumps and bruises.

This weekedn wont work for me, tomarrow i got to work, and sunday i dont work because that is my beilief
