aftermarket temp sensor location.

i am planning on getting a aftermarket coolant temp gauge. but where do i put the sender? they have coolant tube adapters but i was told it goes in the block.

great thread. i will be going to take a look at it this weekend. what kind of gauge did you use?

I got a cheapy from Kragen about 25 bucks.

I have that same gauge in my truck and I used the adapter from Glowshift that cuts into the upper radiator hose. It works well and is an easy install.

Got a link? I've been looking for such an item for a while, and while they are abundant in many sizes, I've yet to find one big enough to do our hoses with.
