Will swapping the a/c condenser to a new style made for 134 refrigerant make a significant improvement without adding electric fans? Due to the intercooler and having a 91 front end, there is no room for pusher fans.

The truck has seen limited use the last three months due to poor a/c, but since we found this weekend that the newer truck came equipped with the Ford spark plug ejection system, the 1991 has to go back into full time use, regardless of the +100° temperatures.

what size IC do you have?
also, your odds are improved running R134 with a Eseries condensor from 1997 since that is the only redesign that was for R134.

2000 PS intercooler. Not too bad of an installation, but there is not enough room behind the grill on pre 1992. The last step of the install was to cut the back of the grill so it would clear.

Thanks, I will see of the local salvage has a 1997 in the yard.
