Can I swap a 97 E4OD directly into my 1992 IDI, also an E4OD?

I'm not positive, but I think you need a different computer to run a newer E4OD behind a IDI,

You will need the 4 stud converter.Update the 92 Transmission Range Sensor harness (MLPS) to the 97 model year. Your favorite parts store can get you that. Use the 92 to 95 model solenoid pack. Bolt it up and drive away.
