'94 IDIT runs rough, low power, nearly overheating after Moose IP

I got the VC clearenced and welded up.
The engine is running quiet and smooth!

I have some grayish smoke on hard acceleration and at idle while in Drive. I'm timed @ 8*. Think it needs a bit more advance?

The truck feels stronger and there seems to be a bit more boost and audible whistle. Is it possible the valves were not allowed to open completely?

Do a degree or two more advanced and see what the result is.

I doubt that baffle was causing opening issues with the valve. The baffle is just sheet metal, it will be moved/break way before it causes the rocker arm to stop moving.
