'94 hood release

'94 F350 CC followed me home last spring, was running when I parked it. Now battery is dead. Can't get the hood up, release is seized. Grumpy wife says, "Move it before I call the tow truck."
The clock is ticking...
Help please.....................

Sometimes if you have someone push down on the front of the hood while you pull the release it'll open. Especially if it's parked on uneven ground.

go in through the grill with a long extension,swivel and 13mm socket(might be 10mm)and unbolt the latch from the radiator support.its only 2 bolts

seems grumpy needs to have mouth sewed shut--sheesh--
