On my 89 crewcab project I've got a 92-97 front clip installed. Now last night I went to install the a/c condenser and the wiring that runs right above it was really tight between the radiator support and the A/C condenser. Is this typical or do I have a routing screwed up? And by tight I mean it seemed like the a/c condenser and wiring wanted to use the same space.

Thanks
Jeremy

I am not sure about the differences in a brick nose vs an OBS, but here is how it is routed on my 92 OBS truck.

There is enough room between the upper radiator support and the condenser of the wiring to run right through there.

This picture is from the drivers side. You can see the wiring going in between the upper support and condenser.

And from the passenger side. Might be a little clearer in this pic.

Excellent pictures! Thank you.

Yeah that's where I've got it, but boy is it tight. It almost seams like my ac condenser is too tall? I'll have to dig into this further. I've thought about ordering a new one. This condenser doesn't have that many miles on it, but never fit real good from the first.

Anyone else that's done a clip swap had trouble with the harness being tight?

Excellent pictures! Thank

Sometimes, pictures with an iPhone turn out pretty good. It's nice to be able to jam the end that has the lens down somewhere you can't see and take a picture. It's helped me out more than once! They take pretty nice extreme close up pics too.

I ordered a new AC condenser. The new ones look like the mounting brackets are slightly different. It also looks like it will give more room for the wiring. I definitely don't have as much room as the pictures where showing. Back when I put it in my 89 I had to trim some of the brackets on it to clear the radiator brackets. I'm thinking this one was a dud.

My iPhone has replaced my point and shoot camera. It takes good enough pictures for what I'm doing.
