Figured I'd share this deal I found on 75w140 full synthetic gear oil. I ordered 3 for my GMC RV that replaced my last IDI van, which uses around 3qts. I'll be picking it up locally, but you can get free shipping on $35+ if aren't near one. I think the diffs in IDIs usually use around 4 qts anyway. At least the Dana 70 did, in the big IDI RV I had.

Also - It seems the company that owned the fram brand (First Brands Group, LLC) went bankrupt back in September last year, so they have ALL fram stuff on clearance. I grabbed a 12oz bottle of power steering fluid (last one) for 85 cents, 6 bottles of gas fuel system cleaner for $1.35 each (was $7/bottle), and also a can of "meh, close enough" 90% off priced paint for my ugly rebuilt ("salvage") title Isuzu pickup up for some bad paint areas on the fenders.

They had some diesel additives on clearance too but that's useless to me now. They didn't have any oil filters left in stock for the GMC or Isuzu at the store I went to.

I already dumped the power steering fluid in the GMC (hence the seal being broken) because I changed out the leaking huge seal on the Saginaw pump a couple days ago, and I didn't save the old fluid.

Thanks for this. I think?
I didn't have time to check which lube my front and rear. diffs. take before I left so I took a chance and grabbed 8 quarts.
Also got a bunch of power steering fluid for my new (leaking, grrr) Red Top and a bunch of 5w-20 oil for my beater Subaru.

The gearbox in my GMC is also leaky but the worst leak seemed to be the reservoir because it leaked 24/7, regardless of the engine being on or not. $10 for a seal kit and a few hours pulling and installing the pump (and new pressure hose i bought last year but hadn't installed) beats $200+ for a gearbox right now, since it doesn't seem worn out.

I had no leaks before I bought the Red Head and paid my local to indy install it so I'm assuming it's the Red Head. But I dunno. Sucks all around but I can't get motivated to deal with it properly again.
