86 f-250 supercab 6.9l diesel motor damaged

I posted this about a month ago,but have been busy trying to get home to new orleans.So we'll try this again.I'm asking $1200.00 o.b.o. I think the truck blew a front crank seal , when I drove it last, it started making a "shunking" engine noise, by the time I was able to pull over and check it had dumped about 6 qts. of oil from the front of the engine, I put 6 qts. in started it, the noise went away quick enough,and I was able to drive it about a mile or so to get it to where I was staying.I'd have to guess that at the very least the rod bearings were probabely damaged, but I'm an electrician, not a diesel mech..Otherwise the truck is in pretty good shape, it's in the los angeles area.
