When I used to instal sleeves, we would shoot for .0015"-.002" interference fit. Throw the sleeve in the freezer overnight, then heat the entire block up with a torch, and we still had to beat them in with a 10lb. sledgehammer. We always left a lip at the bottom of the cylinder for the sleeve to seat down on also. Never had one slip.
