You can buy new kits in the $3500 range; you can watch craigslist for used ones in the $5-800 range.

Being a motor home, I'm assuming it's an "e" style vehicle, with the engine under the front like a van?
You'll probably need to get a (rare) van turbo kit, or fabricate new exhaust piping that will fit.

You don't have to worry about A/F ratio on a diesel like you would a gas. They can idle super lean, or run wide open super rich. Running rich will produce black smoke and cause high EGT's
