If your referring to the stock cooler as the one in the radiator, leave it there, liquid to liquid is mmuch more efficient than air to liquid, just put the air cooler in series.

I was planing to replace the stock cooler with the 6.0PSD cooler .!

Do you leave the stock cooler in place regardless ? If I am adding an AUX cooler should I mount it behind the grill and in line with the stock .

a trans cooler is a trans cooler.
its all about surface area and cooling fins.
the more cooling fins you have, the faster it will cool.

yes. leave the radiator cooler hooked up, and install the aftermarket cooler
after the radiator.

im not a ford automatic fan, so im not the one to tell you what line is the feed and which ones the return.

but..

feed to radiator to cooler to return.

not a bad price on the sensor.

think i paid 50 bucks from Bill, took me 4 minutes to install it and i was donski.
never looked back, except for to check the smoke.

Thanks IDIoit

I have a line coming from the Trany going to the Radiator at the bottom and plan to keep it that way , Then the line goes / feed to a small Stock cooler in front of the Rad towards the left if you looking at the truck and return to the trans if i understood it correctly .! or something like that . Every thing on this truck is stock and never been touched

My Q : do i remove that small OEM cooler and replace it with the 6.0 PSD / After market large cooler or do you usually keep the stock cooler regardless to what you do ?

There is No such thing as a Stock cooler on a 93 like you finely explained that what your calling Stock is an Auxilliary cooler , the Stock (OEM) cooler is the one in the radiator. So having that Auxilliary Cooler already mounted in front of the radiator, there is no need for another one. If by chance, when your pulling that 30' 5er and are running HOT, HOT is constantly running at 220*F and then go up to 240*F when climbing small hills., then you may have to increase the size of the Auxilliary cooler. Fer Sista.

Uhhaaaaaa Now i am following you dead on Capt .

SO here is my plan i am going to remove the small Stock AUX Cooler and replace it with the Giant 6.0PSD Cooler in place . Add a Oil Temp gauge to the tranny test port and call it a day

Cooler all fitted in , Tech sensor and Tranny gauge on its way. Had to mod the hood latch bracket for the cooler to fit in up front other than few barb fitting to convert the line from 5/16 to the giant 1/2" the process was smooth .

The gages usually come as 1/8" NPT and are supplied with a couple of brass NPT bushings to fit just about any hole.

OLDBUll8 .. What would you suggest to use as source of power to the Tach. Instruction show to use 12v terminal on ignition switch or other switched 12V source.!

Was thinking to connect to the POSITIVE of Alt and use a 4amp fast acting fuse inline

I never read the instructions, always throw them away. Who are those people that write them? Do they think I'm not smart enough? So I install it (whatever), turn the power on to it and BAM, where'd all that fire come from? Now, where the hell did I put those instructions? Oh yeah, throwed them away. Gotta get online for the instructions, there a lot better than the printed ones. Wonder who wrote the online instructions?
