7.3 ats turbo question

I currently have a 1991 f350 crewcab with a (international) 7.3 with an aftermarket ats turbo installed by a company called Dealers Diesel out of Minneapolis. (I am in Cincinnati, OH) I am rather new to diesels and have done some small modifications to my truck. I have added a complete 4 inch exhaust down pipe back, exits in front of right rear wheel. added a set of pillar gauges a pyro and boost. as far as i know the settings of the injection pump and boost at at factory specs from the dealer. it barely smokes and from my gauges i am showing 9lbs of boost. I am trying to find some information on who sells air filters for my trucks setup as mine has no model number on the filter. also would adding a cold air setup to this motor do much? also i have heard that i can turn up the injection pump as well as the boost to get better performance. I do some towing (ie a boat, 16ft trailer lawn equipment) would i benefit from turning up the injection pump or boost? If so what are some safe steps to do this and not destroy anything? Any help would greatly be appreciated and if I am using the wrong terminology please feel free to correct me and point me in the right direction.

Thanks. That seems easy enough. Have you done this in your truck? If so how many turns did u boost yours up? And what is the top temp you want to run?

much over 8 lbs and an intercooler is needed for optimum performance. which ats turbo do you have, some pics will help here.

Wow you are the first person I've heard of that also has a Dealer's Diesel setup! Unfortunately the best I can tell is they "Dealer's Diesel" is no longer in business. I'm not sure of your setup but mine is the whole engine and turbo that came from Dealer's Diesel. Your turbo is not actually an aftermarket per se....if it is like mine it is the same ATS turbo that came on the factory turbo trucks. It is just re-badged with the Dealer's Diesel on top. A couple air filters you can get at Advance or Wally World...
Purolator A44853 and Fram PH3766 or 3786.
Anyway just look up the same air filters for a '94 w/ factory turbo.

The only experience I have had with this procedure is turning the pump DOWN, believe or not. A guy I work with has a factory 94 turbo idi, and his pump developed a leak a few years ago. When they rebuilt and re-installed it, they told him they thought it was a little lean, and turned it up. He said he was getting close to 20mpg before they did that, and when I told him I knew how to turn it back down, he persuaded me to do it.

I took it for a test drive before I did it, and when you floored it, black smoke was pouring out of it. I turned it back one allen wrench flat, and I thought it was perfect, a little bit of black when you got down on it, and then it would clear up.

But he decided he wanted to turn it down a little bit more, so I went in and turned it down one more flat. He drove it like that till he pulled his fishing boat up the east side of Afton mountain on 64, and said the cruise control dropped out because the mph dropped too much, so I had go in and turn it back up that one flat.

Yes mine is or sounds to be the exact same as yours. I was told it was a complete swap out at 99k miles. it currrently has 184k. the valve covers have the dealers diesel on them as was as a badge on the front of the motor to. and the top of the air filter box says dealers diesel as well. I will have to take some pictures and put them on here to see if its the same as yours. And thanks for the part number for those filters thats very helpful.

I will get some pictures taken and post them. how many miles are on your truck now? The guy I bought mine from let is sit in a heated barn for about 6 years. he had it a total of 8 years and put 900 miles on it. It has a very lil white smoke when it first starts up is that normal? or might it have something to do with it sitting for all that time? and does yours happen to have the "Qualitex" interior? i've have a centurion truck before and my dad has a 92 centurion 4 door bronco with the 7.3 and seen that kind of interior but never this package.
