6.9 to 7.3

whats up guys... i have a 6.9 in my 85 at the moment and shes seen better days and 300,000 miles actually kilometers since its canadian which would make it around 500,000 which im not complaining it did well!!! but i have a 7.3 idi to replace it while i rebuild it. will i have to change anything out? or will it bolt right up? because its the 4 speed borg warner t-19b trans and the bolt holes look like they would go right together i was just wondering if anyone has done this because i need this motor in quick i dont want my 6.9 to poo out on me while driving to college.

Hang on a second, 300,000 kilometers = 186,411 miles...
But anyway, it should bolt right up.

from my understanding kilometers are more. but anyway that besides the point the engine has some rods knocking but cool cool thanks for the input!

Think he meant it has 300,000 miles which is around 500k kilometers.

I had the 6.9 in my 85 and I put in the 7.3 idi .I had the 4 speed manual also but i put in the automatic but the manual will bolt right up
