Well big red got towed home tonight. Just can't take embarrassment I have no fuel at the injectors. Last Tuesday I blew a heater hose on the Inter-State in a very rural area and ran for about twelve miles loosing all my water in the process. Took two hours to cool down enough to get water to stay in the radiator 
Got it home and changed the oil and put fresh antifreeze in (did a new block heater while it was drained) but then all this week my thermostat wouldn't close so my engine would heat up enough for the cold advance to come off. Ordered a MotorCraft RT1049 and was going to put it in tomorrow. Today drove 70 miles to do a hospital visit (yeah I'm in the sticks) every thing went great, filled up to drive the 70 back and about forty miles into it the truck just dies doing sixty on cruise. Now I have no fuel at injectors. The IP is only four months old so I have one coming under warranty, but I don't know what happened. Could the over heat caused a delayed reaction? The two days I drove it with the advance not coming off, could that kill an IP? Just curious as to what killed this thing. It is a BWD from O'Reilly's. Ok give me some feedback, what can kill a new IP?
