Hello Ladies, Gentlemen and F ***n' Robot,
It's been a minute since I've had the IP (timing) gear cover off of one of our trucks.
Do any of you, robot excluded, know if a bore scope (5.5 mm max diameter) will get me past the IP gear and the cover?
I remember that the "putty knife/plumber's putty" method was pretty tight ... I just don't have a record of the clearance between the gears and the cover.
Any help/guidance is much appreciated. I'm traveling to help a buddy with his truck, if the 5.5 mm scope will work, the project will be (substantially) expedited.
