5.4L engine issues

Got the wifey an 02 F-150 Super crew a couple months back and have now discovered several individuals who also have early 2000 model trucks or Expiditions with the same engine and have either chucked a rod or have an unknown engine knock.
Still researching this issue but have come up empty handed so far.
Any thoughts or findings?

Yeah all ya gotta do is do a quick search in the engine section of f150online. I'll dig up some good threads for ya.

Yep, same here. Plenty of schoolin' for the new ones.

The g/f's dad had a motor put in his 01 over this and it took forever to do it because the motors were scarce.
