running only on left bank
electrical problem under the valve cover or idm?
if one injector or wiring shorts out does it take out that bank of the idm?

It could be the uvch or a bad wire. If its a bad wire they ahve been known to short out the wires or burn up the uvch. There not bad to change and dont cost much. I would recomend changing both.

I guess I dont understand how all 4 dont work, does it burn up the connector that bad?

When the idm senses a short it shuts down the whole bank to protect itself.but the idm can get water in it wich will burn it up.

I wondered if the idm would do that, that clears things up a bunch. Thank you.

Im gunna hi jack ur thread real quick. If a idm goes out will it shut the truck off goin down the road then start later and die again then just go out all together? I have been trying to get help in the powerstorke section but its kinda slow up there. I talked to lots of people that said it could be the cam postion sensor. So I changed but no differnece. Alos does the cps need to be set to a certain gap?

connector was disconnected inside valve cover.

Put a short piece of 3/8" clear plastic tubing under the locking arch on the connector, that will keep it locked. Had that problem 2 years ago, no problem since.

its possible.have you checked the under hood fuses? No gap on the cps
